Brad Pitt's wife Angelina Jolie was recently said to be on a “hunger strike” to raise awareness about starving Syrian refugees.

As divorce rumors swirl, claiming Pitt has engaged in a possible affair with his Five Seconds of Silence co-star, Marion Cotillard, a source told the National Enquirer that Jolie was taking "extreme measures" to help refugee in crisis.

“Angie’s trying to save the world, but she can’t seem to save herself. She told us, ‘If they can’t eat, I can’t eat,'” the report alleged, adding that “the only thing her frightening weight loss is calling attention to is her health, not the unfortunate people she’s trying to help.”

The source continued on, claiming, “Brad’s trying desperately to make Angie understand the dire straits she’s in.”

However, while Jolie has been looking quite thin in recent photos, Gossip Cop spoke to a source close to Jolie on Thursday, who assured the outlet that she was not “starving herself to death."

Earlier this week, reports surfaced regarding Pitt's on-set chemistry with Cotillard, which may lead to the pair's divorce.

“There is totally something going on between [Brad and Marion],” an insider told Star magazine, according to a report by Hollywood Life. “They had insane chemistry right from the start, and many crewmembers believe they’ve been acting on it in private.”

In addition to their on-set chemistry, the source claimed Pitt and Cotillard have “affectionate nicknames” for one another, and Cotillard “lights up whenever Brad is around."

“In the past, Brad and Angie have always turned a blind eye to each other’s little flirtations. As long as neither of them took it too far, they thought it actually spiced up their relationship,” the insider added. “But Brad getting emotionally attached to Marion is totally against the rules. That’s what makes this a unique situation that could threaten their marriage.”
