The news of Bobby Shmurda's fate is going to have to wait till the fall.

On Monday, XXL announced that the rapper's trial date has been pushed from May 12 until September 12 so he will be spending the whole summer behind bars.

Shmurda remains in jail on a number of charges, including weapons, drugs and more. The postponement of the trial comes from the request of attorneys with no official word of how far this is going to go.

Shmurda's mother, Leslie Pollard, previously opened up with XXL on how hard this situation has been. Not only is she unhappy, but she feels like her son is not being treated well.

"I'm feeling like I'm in limbo," the rapper's mother said. "I just don't know what's going on and, sadly enough, I feel like my son is being mistreated. I feel like you have probably cause to lock them up, they're innocent until proven guilty, but I just wish they would treat him like Ackquille Pollard [his government name]."

Even though her son is locked up, she still has a connection with him and does what she can to visit.

"Me and his brother, we communicate with him numerous times a day," Pollard said. "We try and do video chats with him. The facility that he's at right now, he was moved out of New York City to Westchester and we have more leverage...I visit, between his brother and me he gets at least two visits a week. The video chats sometimes once, twice a day where we can see him and he can see the house."

Pollard also said she is "very thankful" to the public who have been supportive of her and the rapper during this time.
