Taylor Swift's DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris was involved in a car accident last week and understandably, Swift was "worried sick" after hearing the news.

According to a report, Harris, whose real name is Adam Richards Wiles, was driving in an SUV when a Volkswagon Beetle filled with teenagers crossed the yellow line and ran into his Escalade, ejecting a female from the car.

“Taylor was very scared when she got a call from Calvin saying he had been in a terrible accident,” a source told Hollywood Life on Saturday. “Her first reaction was to ask if he needed her to be with him, but Calvin told her everything was ok and he was just a little shaken up.”

According to a report by TMZ on Saturday, the driver of the Beetle and her ejected passenger were taken to a nearby hospital, as was Harris. However, because a private room was not available, the DJ reportedly left the hospital against medical advice.

“[Calvin] broke the news to [Taylor] quite gently because he didn’t want Taylor fretting too much,” the Hollywood Life source explained. “But she’s a natural worrier and often fears the worst. However, everything was ok in the end and she can be relieved that he came out of the accident relatively unharmed, but for a few cuts.”

"[A] 16-year-old girl was speeding up Coldwater Canyon when she lost control and nearly slammed into the mountain. She jerked the wheel and overcompensated, crashing in to the SUV," a second TMZ report revealed.

Following the accident, Harris' team released a statement on his official Facebook page, which read, "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days."

In addition to canceling a Las Vegas show on Friday night, Harris was also forced to cancel a gig in Alabama the following evening.
