Another day, another rumor about the British royal family's most popular couple. This time around there's a new report that says Prince William and Kate Middleton are so bothered by all the negative press they've been receiving lately that they have been trying "too hard" to look normal by the public, says one critic.

After receiving quite the backlash for putting in very little effort into their charity work and not being as accessible to the public like Prince William's brother Harry is, the Duke and Duchess have been going the distance to prove to everyone that they've been wrong about them.

The Daily Mail's William Hanson recalls a moment in which Prince William called his wife "babe" in front of other reporters at the Chelsea Flower Show, which is something that didn't sit too well for many people.

He wrote, "Babe?! Not a very imperial pet-name, is it? He's the second in line to the British throne, Your Royal Highness, not a character in TOWIE. Babe is a far cry from 'cabbage', which we think the Duke of Edinburgh uses for The Queen. Cabbage is quirky and unusual enough to pass as aristocratically anachronistic. Babe is just plain common."

Hanson added, "All these populist movements, whether staged or accidental, will erode the majesty that the royal family need and must retain to survive. For me, royalty should be royal. They are not supposed to be like 'one of us.'"

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the criticism. Keep up with Enstars for all the latest news on Prince William, Kate Middleton and all of your favorite British royal celebrities right here.
