Affleck acted as the lead CIA official on the mission to Iran and back. Argo also won Best Drama at the Golden Globes in January and Best Picture at the Academy Awards in February.
Day-Lewis took home the Oscar for Best Actor in February for his portrayal of the 16th president of the United States in Lincoln. His Oscar win made him the first actor ever to win three Oscars in the respective category.

In 2000 he received his first MTV Movie Awards nomination: Breakthrough Male Performance for the 1999 film Any Given Sunday. Foxx is the 2013 Generation Award recipient.
Tatum has been nominated for an MTV Movie award in the past but has yet to take home the honor. His first two nominations were in 2010: Best Male Performance for Dear John and Biggest Badass Star. At last year's award ceremony he received two nominations for his role in The Vow and another two for 21 Jump Street. He was up for three awards this year.
