Finally, Apple admitted it. In its recently held WWDC 2016, the Cupertino-based tech giant practically confessed that it miscalculated on its first wearable device, the Apple Watch. During the conference, Apple introduced WatchOS3, a new operating system that seems designed to fix most of the issues that have plagued the device's since it was unveiled.

WatchOS3 carries a significant number of improvements over the last two iterations of Apple's wearable operating system. What is particularly admirable about WatchOS3 is the fact that it practically addressed almost all the issues that users of the Apple Watch have reported over the past year.

One thing that users have always complained about in the Apple Watch is the fact that its applications do not load fast enough. In fact, the low-performance speed of the device has been a particularly large gripe for Apple Watch users since the device was first released. With WatchOS3, however, loading times for apps become practically nonexistent.

This is done by cleverly preloading apps in the background. Thus, once a user selects an application, the data is immediately available, fully loaded and ready for viewing. This notable feature is implemented for most of the Apple Watch's apps, and with this, Apple's first wearable might finally feel like an organic device rather than simply an extension of a smartphone.

Another thing that critics have noted on the Apple Watch is the fact that its interface, as well as its feature set, feel very needlessly complicated. With its upcoming OS update, however, the Apple Watch is set to become a far more streamlined device, using its side button to bring up an application dock, just like iOS and macOS.

Apple made a pretty notable mistake with the Apple Watch by making the wearable a complicated device. Notably, Apple products have garnered the reputation as devices which must be fast and easy to use. Indeed, with the Apple Watch, it seemed for a while that Apple forgot how to make an Apple product that its loyal fans would love.

With WatchOS3 in the horizon, however, Apple's wearable might finally reach its true potential.
