UFO Sightings 2016: Clear, Mysterious, Cigar-Shaped Craft Spotted In Manchester [VIDEO]
An Unidentified Flying Object sighted in Manchester, England has captured the attention and interest of UFO aficionados in the U.K., as the mysterious cigar-shaped craft, which was captured on film, appeared to float in the sky before rising up and disappearing. Currently, the video of the alleged spacecraft is considered as one of the clearest examples of UFO footage to date.
The sighting, together with a slew of other UFO-related incidents, has encouraged alien aficionados to dub Manchester as Britain's undisputed UFO sighting hotspot earlier this year.
What truly made the footage of the cigar-shaped craft so remarkable is the fact that it was filmed on a very clear day; thus, the images of the UFO, though filmed from the ground, was practically crystal-clear.
Apart from this, the alleged spacecraft was also shaped quite differently from the conventional saucer-shaped spacecraft that are usually involved in UFO sightings. Rather, the object spotted in the video appeared to be long and narrow, with extremely bright lights that were flashing white, blue and purple.
According to the owner of the footage, the UFO was flying "higher than planes" and was visible for about 40 minutes before rising even higher. Eventually, the mysterious flying object flew so high that it was not visible anymore.
Considering the alleged distance of the UFO from the ground, the owner of the video stated that the spacecraft was probably very large. Indeed, for an image to be that clear from so far away, its size must be pretty notable.
The quality of the film, as well as the UFO that was captured in the footage, triggered significant interest among UFO fans across the country, with some stating that the object does look like a machine designed for space flight. Some even noted that the same UFO was seen in the same area a few years back.
"I saw the exact same thing over my house in Worcestershire a few years back. Definitely changed my opinion on the whole UFO thing, amazing to see a video of it!" one commenter wrote on the comments of the video.
As much as the footage is interesting, however, critics believe that the cigar shape of the UFO was simply due to the fact that it was not a spacecraft at all, but a solar balloon. Solar balloons, just like the object in the footage, are usually cylindrical in appearance and are capable of rising to very high elevations.
