Pop sensation Justin Bieber has received worldwide recognition and fame for his music but while he is on his Believe world tour promoting his latest album, he has one family member not so supportive of the path he is taking.

The 19-year-old's grandfather, George Bieber, is currently sleeping on a mattress in the front room of a small and damp two bedroom cabin in Mitchell, Canada, according to Daily Mail. The 61-year-old is too ill to walk upstairs and is confined to the first floor of his home, which is chilly since a tree fell and left a huge hole in the roof. He is also unable to work because of a back condition.

In an interview with United Kingdom's The Sun on April 20, George said despite the fact that his famous grandson is a millionaire, the Boyfriend singer has done nothing to help him and the woman he called "Gramma Kathy."

"Justin might be worth £70 million but we certainly have never seen a penny of it," George said. 'It's hard to imagine the money Justin has, as it's about as far removed from our life as you could get."

George is upset by the way Justin has ignored his grandparents, and added that the only gift he has received from the singer was a television. Kathy Bieber, 56, works 40 hours a week at a local factory dragging sacks of paint powder for a small amount of money to help her and her husband.

Justin has yet to address the statements made by his grandfather. He is noticeably close to his mother Pattie Mallette - they attended the American Music Awards together and he thanked her in his acceptance speech - but the singer has made not much reference to his grandparents.

Family members speaking about their celebrity relatives holding out on them is nothing new. In March, Madonna's estranged and homeless brother said he does the pop icon has not been supportive at all and is probably not even concerned whether he is dead or alive.
