Michelle Rodriguez is looking to take a break from acting. The star of Fast & Furious 6 is looking to dive into work on real reason she got into the film industry.

"The truth is I'm about to say goodbye to acting for a minute and move behind the camera. I got into this business to write," Rodriguez told Cosmopolitan Latinas in an interview for their Summer issue, according to azcentral.

The 34-year-old actress has starred in several box offices favorites, including Avatar as well as three of the Fast& Furious franchise movies and Resident Evil. However, Rodriguez has been looking to write throughout her acting career.

"'I've waited 13 years to actually do it ... But like now I'm ready, so that means I have to do the cut off. I'll go into the mountains, and bye-bye everybody," the actress stated, according to the Daily News.

However, calming down and getting away isn't always the star's style. In the past Rodriguez has been charged with driving under the influence as well as a hit and run.

"I had some bad moments," the Lost actress admitted to Cosmopolitan Latinas, according to ABC.  "I partied hard. The world knew it...I feel like my growth is a progression. It's like you're about to fly out and head to Ibiza another year in a row and your gut's telling you, 'No, stay home and write.' I go forward and I've had times when I go back."

Fast & Furious 6, starring Rodriguez alongside Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, enters theaters May 24.
