Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber PHOTO Hints at Reconciliation Day Before Shirtless Picture Surfaces?
While the shirtless picture Justin Bieber posted on Instagram of him and Gomez may have been a sign of reconciliation, others believe a photo Gomez uploaded only a day earlier may have foreshadowed the reunion.
On April 25, the 20-year-old Come & Get It singer uploaded onto her Twitter account a photo of her standing next to two youngsters, one of which was wearing a T-shirt with Bieber's face and name on it. As Gomez stood in between the two girls she pointed at the Bieber shirt and maDE a shocking - yet sarcastic - face.
The photo was a surprise to many of her fans, since Gomez has not directly mentioned or included Bieber in her photos or tweets following the couple's split in late 2012. A reconciliation was not reported, though, until Bieber posted a picture on Instagram on April 26. In the respective image the 19-year-old Boyfriend singer sits shirtless in front of a laptop as Gomez hugs his from behind while making a face at the camera. He captioned the black-and-white picture, " 'You've been making music for too long babe come cuddle me' - her."
Their reunion may have something to do with a pastor who convinced Gomez to help her ex-boyfriend from having a nervous breakdown, a source told Star magazine.
Bieber's friend and mentor, Pastor Judah Smith, "pleaded with Selena to fly to Norway" and visit the 19-year-old during his Believe world tour, the insider said. "She's the only person who can stop Justin from having a breakdown. He's lost his ways. He needs her more than ever, and she wants to at least be friends again."
During her visit to Norway, Gomez and Bieber were spotted kissing backstage at one of his concerts.
Bieber is currently on his world tour and Gomez is getting ready to release her new album, expected to be in stores this summer. She released a preview video for Come & Get It, in late April and the track's full music video will premiere during MTV First: Selena Gomez on May 7 at 7:53 p.m. ET.
