Lionsgate released a teaser for next Tuesday's premier of the first Ender's Game trailer.

While many sci-fi fans have their plans full with the upcoming release of Star Trek Into Darkness, Orson Scott Card's classic book is set to hit the big screen this fall.

Asa Butterfield (Hugo) and Harrison Ford (Cowboys and Aliens) introduce the clip. The 16-year-old Butterfield plays main character Ender Wiggin while the venerable Ford portrays Ender's teacher Colonel Graff.

The film is based on the plot of the book, following Ender through his time at Battle School and Command School. The schools were set up in order to train young humans to fight in anticipation of a third war with and ant-like alien species called the Formics.

The short clip starts off with Colonel Graff telling Ender, "You'll be the finest commander we've ever trained." The viewer gets quick flashes of the cadets at Battle School as well as someone training in the zero gravity Battle Room. The clip ends with Mazer Rackham, played by Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3), that Ender will be the last.

According to the pre-clip discussion, the trailers will premier on May 7th on YouTube and Google.

The film will hit theaters on Nov. 1.
