Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara Evans, are locked in a bitter dispute over the custody of the Teen Mom 2 star's 7-year-old son, Jace.

Years ago, shortly after Jace was born, Evans' mom gained full custody of the boy due to Evans' inability to parent and ever since, she has maintained her status as Jace's legal guardian. Meanwhile, Evans has embarked on relationship after relationship and welcomed another child with ex-fiance Nathan Griffith. Evans is also expecting a baby with her current boyfriend David Eason -- but that isn't stopping her from attempting to regain rights to her son.

According to a report by Radar Online, Evans and her mother were scheduled to be in court on October 11 after their initial court date of July 5 was postponed. However, due to a recent hurricane that touched down in the area, their court date was canceled.

“The judge is going to have a meeting of the attorneys on Friday to schedule a future court case,” an employee of the clerk’s office told Radar Online. “There will be no outcome at the meeting.”

Evans and her mother won't be in attendance during the courthouse meeting.

As Evans and her mother prepare for their next day in court, Evans is also preparing for the January 2017 birth of her third child and filming for the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2, which has not yet recevied a premiere date.
