Pokemon Go could very well be the game of the year when it comes to 2016. The game took over the entire Internet in such a quick gulp that no one saw it coming yet everyone indulged themselves in the game.

Niantic, the developers of the game, are always trying to gain feedback of their millions of users and try to make the game as good as they can with the time given.

Over the months the game has been released, they have constantly released newer updates with many major changes in the app. A lot of them fans were happy with, a lot of them they were left dissatisfied.

Niantic has come again with a new update. This time they are tackling three major variables. They are tackling perhaps the three most used words in the app: Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Eggs.

According to Forbes, the developers are said to have reduced the spawn rate of the Pidgey and Rattata by quite a bit. Is this a bad thing?

Not necessarily. In a dedicated area, there are only so many Pokemon that can spawn. Pidgeys and Rattatas are the two most common Pokemon in the game and they spawn just about everywhere. This means that there are many annoying moments where all one can find are those two when they are hunting about.

If the rate of them spawning is reduced, it means that the other Pokemon in the game will ultimately have a higher chance of spawning and there will be a lot of variety in the game.

Polygon also mentioned how the two Pokemon will not be hatching from eggs. Eggs are a wondrous thing in Pokemon where one walks a number of kilometers and gains a new Pokemon.

A lot of the time the Pokemon hatched from the eggs are the common Pidgey and Rattata. This is aggravating to a player who is constantly hoping for more of a variety.

In more minor update news, Zubat's spawn rate has been reduced too as it was quite the common Pokemon. Eevee's which originally hatched from a 10 Km egg will now from a 5 Km Egg.
