Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) which is dubbed as the highly successful original equipment manufacturer is about to launch the new powerful graphics card in the future. AMD has developed its new Radeon RX 490 which can support 4K gaming.

AMD Radeon RX 490 graphics card is set to be release in the second half of the year. According to the AMD and Sapphire official websites, the release date was confirmed to be in 2016. However, the company has decided to schedule the time of launching for a new mid-2017.

With all the information provided by several tech analysts, reviewers and rumormongers, AMD's next GPU architecture known as Vega 10 which mainly considered as their first graphic card, the AMD Radeon RX 490 needs no promotion or advertising to help the company's marketing department.

Chances are the new AMD's Radeon RX 490 will be released next month. This is the much-awaited thing that fans would want to hear.

According to Itech Post, Radeon RX 490 is rumored to be the fastest graphics card in the Radeon RX 400 series. Moreover, it is capable of running top-tier games up to 4K resolution which can power virtual reality games.

For specifications, Radeon RX 490 is expected to have more than 1.5 teraflops of performance. It would even be higher than the RX 480's 5.8 teraflops. The chip can hit 60 frames per second (fps) gaming in 1080p resolution.

The RX device has the same GPU used as the promotional unit in 2016 in Sunnyvale. The chipset can also be found on the official websites of AMD and Sapphire together with the discounted motherhood manufacturer which also certified by AMD.

Reports claim that the new flagship graphics card will compete with the NVIDIA's GTX 1080. Furthermore, the AMD Radeon RX 490 is expected to be pricier than the RX 480.
