Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight are hitting the news again as of late. Reports are spreading that the Sacramento Kings is showing a great interest in signing him and a possible trade deal might be looming as the trade deadline nears.

Knight name have been dragged to numerous trade deals these past few months. He's been linked to being traded to Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets but none of those rumored deals have ever happened and rumors just died down.

However, recent reports are now saying that rumors to him will not be over until he is not traded. According to FOXSports, as the NBA trade deadline get closer, Knight is said to be one of the best available players to watch out for.

Though last November, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough already denies that they are shopping Knight, rumblings of trade still surrounds him up until now. Speculation of trading him began when Suns coaching staff decide to place him on the bench while Eric Bledsoe and sophomore Devin Booker took the starting backcourt spot.

Now, a plausible trade deal with the Sacramento Kings could be the best option for the Phoenix Suns. Trade scenario is saying that the Suns will send Knight to the Kings in exchange for Rudy Gay. The trade seems gave both teams different benefits on their acquisition.

The Suns gained some depth on the forward spot with the arrival of Gay. They can take advantage of Gay's recent rise who is averaging 18.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season. Gay has proven his skill as a dependable scorer for the Kings in recent years.

On the other hand, the Kings will definitely benefit from Knight's arrival as it will solve their problem at the point guard spot. Acquiring him will give the Kings a solid playmaker to get some continuity for the franchise future.

The trade will also work under NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction making it a legal deal for both teams as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine.
