The Miami Heat's season is in jeopardy right now. Their recent stumbles dragged them almost down the cellar of the Eastern Conference standing. Now, recent reports are suggesting that they might consider trading Hassan Whiteside to the Toronto Raptors before the trade deadline.

The Heat is once a proud franchise in the NBA league. They were once a dominating team when the trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh join forces in 2010. They lead the Heat to 4 straight NBA Final appearances from 2010-2014 where they won 2 NBA Championships.

But everything is not permanent, King James left the team in 2014 and then last summer Wade also departed and join his hometown Chicago. To add insult to injury, Bosh was not cleared to play this season due to his health condition that others are saying is the end of his career. And now, with all the superstars gone, they are struggling to get their form and on the verge of losing their season.

Will a trade deal be the answer to Miami's misery? According to FOXSports, the Toronto Raptors are clearly looking to augment their frontcourt and the Miami Heat could have the asset they are looking for. Trade scenario is saying that the Raptors will send center Jonas Valanciunas and guard/forward Terrence Ross to the Heat for center Hassan Whiteside and guard Josh Richardson.

The trade looks to be pure madness, for one both Whiteside and Valanciunas are two dependable centers and doing great for their respective teams so why trade them? And the answer seems to be simply, Whiteside is said to be a better fit to the Raptors right now while Valanciunas is a better fit to a rebuilding Heat as per stated in the report.

Having Whiteside will definitely make the Raptors a terrifying contender for the title. He already develops his offensive skills aside from having one of the best defensive skill thru rebounding and shot blocking. Meanwhile, JV is a perfect replacement for Whiteside for an upgrading Heat.

An earlier report already open the possibility of this deal and it says that it will work under NBA trade rules making it a legal deal for both teams to make the trade. Nevertheless, both the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors have not confirmed this deal yet but rest assure that Hassan Whiteside will be a familiar name in the trade market before the trade deadline expires.
