After several months of the delay, Samsung has finally unveiled its latest Chromebook model at the CES 2017. With specs and features already released, we can compare this with head to head against Apple's Ipad Pro, which is the best competitor in the market for latest Chromebook.

The Chromebook brand is generally known for its simplicity and minimalism, and its user base consists mainly of schools and enterprises. Though they don't have the flashier specs that other brands might have, Chromebooks are exceptional in their own way.

The latest Samsung Chromebooks are hybrid-computing devices that can function both as a laptop and as a tablet. With Chromebooks' stylus support and ability to switch between different modes, it can be compared with Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Apple's iPad Pro.

The Samsung Chromebook Pro is shaped with an all-metal chassis and weighs 2.5 pounds. While the iPad Pro's Keyboard is closer to 2.3lbs, according to Mobile N Apps.

Samsung Chromebook Pro comes with a 12.3-inch display made of Gorilla Glass 3 and has a 2,400 x 1,600 resolution. The iPad Pro comes with a 12.9-inch Retina display and a 2,732 x 2,048 resolution. Chromebook Pro has a PPI of 234 while the iPad Pro has 264.

Samsung's device uses an Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor (0.90 GHz up to 2.20 GHz) chip. Its processor is especially made for 2-in-1 devices and laptops. It also backs mobile work and play without compromising visuals. Then again, the iPad Pro runs on a 64-bit A9X 2.26 GHz dual core processor. The A9X behind the iPad Pro is the most powerful mobile chip Apple has ever made, and the company claims that it can outspeed 80 percent of portable PCs released in the past year.

Chromebook sports 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage while the iPad Pro offers the same memory, but you have the option to choose among 32 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB models.

Samsung Chromebook Pro features a Stylus Pen, touch screen display and boasts eight hours of battery life. On the other side, iPad Pro features the Apple Pencil, a multi-touch display and 10 hours of battery life.

The Stylus Pen is free and bundled with the Chromebook while Apple Pencil costs $109. In terms of accuracy, zero latency and performance, Apple Pencil wins over Samsung's stylus. Notably, Apple Pencil edged over Samsung Stylus in its ability to detect accurately pressure points and tilted angles.

iPad Pro's price starts at $799. So at $549, the Samsung Chromebook Plus is definitely cheaper.
