She was already a mom to two beautiful adopted daughters, but now Katherine Heigl can also call herself a happy mother of one biological child following the birth of her first son, Joshua Bishop!

The actress and husband Josh Kelley confirmed back in June of last year that she was pregnant and expecting their first biological child, after they initially met in 2005 on the set of his "Only You" music video, married in 2007, and adopted their daughters, Naleigh and Adalaide in 2009 and 2012.

Heigl previously opened up about choosing to adopt children before she had biological ones, admitting that her own history with adopting (her sister Meg was also adopted) partially influenced her decision, but she always felt it was just the right thing to do.

"We still talk about having biological children as well" she revealed back in 2010, shortly after the couple had welcomes Naleigh into their lives. "Adoption has been a part of my life and a part of my family, so it was how I wanted to start."

The actress has previously made headlines for allegedly being difficult to work with, which has reduced her numbers of roles in both film and television projects over the years, despite her being much more in-demand in the earlier 2000s, which included her break-out as Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy, and saw her also starring in movies like Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, The Ugly Truth and Life As We Know It, among other titles. According to her IMDb page, Heigl wasn't in any projects for 2016, but is currently filming the TV series Doubt, and is in post-production for both Unforgettable and The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature.
