History's action-adventure drama series, Vikings, is going to air another episode of its fourth season a few hours from now. It is reported that the upcoming episode is going to be more dramatic and intense compared to the previous ones.

The previous episodes of the season have showed that the main character, Ragnar, portrayed by actor Travis Fimmel, had died when he was executed and dropped into a pit of snakes. His sons have learned of this devastating news afterwards and were seen that they were preparing to avenge their father's death.

The upcoming episode, the eigteenth of the series, will reportedly detail on how Ragnar's sons, Ivar (Alex Hogh), Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), Sigurd (David Lindstrom) and eldest Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will do their revenge against their father's killer, King Aelle (Ivan Kaye).

During an interview on Entertainment Weekly, Vikings creator and executive producer, Michael Hirst, revealed that after Ragnar's sons learned that he was already dead, the brothers will be joining forces to destroy King Aelle and his allies. The showrunner added that viewers will see a huge payoff by the Great Heathen Army on the upcoming episodes.

Moreover, according to International Business Times, basing from the official synopsis and promo released by the network, it can be implied that the army is already readied to take down Aelle and Ragnar's eldest son, Bjorn leads the battle plan. It has been revealed that Bjorn and Ragnar's other son, Ivar will be more famous than their father ever was.

From the promo, it was shown that Bjorn wanted to lead the army to defeat his father's killer in when he said, "I will establish the battle plan and I will give the orders. I am the leader of this great army," From this, it was speculated that Bjorn will emerge and his rise to power will be seen on the upcoming episodes of the action drama series.

Vikings season 4 episode 18 with the title, "Revenge", is set to air on January 18, 2017 on History. Watch the official promo below.
