The S Health app will receive a complete makeover as Samsung plans to roll out a major update. Along with the Galaxy S8 smartphone, it might be introduced  at the MWC 2017. It will back all Galaxy devices, the S3 and including other Android phones.  When updated, the S Health app would allow users to conveniently search for symptoms, diseases and drugs.

The updated S Health app will apparently be able to store patient data, which includes their symptoms, prescriptions including snapshots of test records. Samsung will be working with partners such as WebMD and Amwell wherein their services will be deeply integrated into the app.

The refurbished and integrated S Health app will not only allow users to quickly search symptoms, diseases and drugs through WebMD integration, but also enable online scheduling of essential visits to a doctor.  Nevertheless, considering its capabilities, the app's practicality will purportedly extend far beyond these searches.

The S Health app will also allow users of the app to make video appointments with doctors anytime, including a list of nearby pharmacy stores. The patient can also select a doctor on the basis of their rating. The doctors will be rated on the basis of a patient's preference and during medical emergencies, users of the S Health app will be able to dial 911.

Convenient payment options have also been integrated in the app. App users will be able to use their credit or debit card to the app to make any payments. There would also be an option to mention whether a user has a medical insurance.

The updated version of the S Health app incorporating all changes, is likely to be introduced in the Galaxy S8 smartphone, which is expected in April.
