Star Wars: Episode VIII officially has a title, and it has lots of fans buzzing on what it could mean.

The next Star Wars film is to be called Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as confirmed by the film's official website.

The title was also confirmed on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and many Star Wars fans are already discussing the meaning behind the title. Unlike Episode VII's title, The Force Awakens, there seems to be near universal praise of the title, even though some are thinking it might indicate something bad may happen to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter so far about Star Wars: The Last Jedi:

As previously revealed, the film is written and directed by Rian Johnson, produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Kelly Marie Tran, Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in theaters on Dec. 15.
