After bizarre behaviors she exhibited on Thursday morning, former The O.C. actress Mischa Barton has been voluntary hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation.

According to TMZ, the actress, 31, was transported to the hospital after a call for either a jumper of possible overdose at her home, after she was spotted hanging over her backyard fence wearing only a dress shirt and tie, and rambling about her mother being a witch, the world coming to an end, and Ziggy Stardust.

She at one point also allegedly fell backward off the fence and said, "Oh my God, it's over! I feel it, and it's angry!"

There have been no updates on her condition, though it is the second time such an evaluation has occurred. In 2009, she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.

According to The Daily Mail, she has also been plagued with legal troubles over the years as well, with a DUI arrest in 2007 and a foreclosure on her house in 2009 after she had failed to pay her mortgage for five months. She was also sued that year by producers of the move Promoted, who claimed they paid her an advance but she never turned up for work, and she was also sued by her landlord in 2010 over unpaid rent on her $7,000/mo. NYC apartment.

Barton competed on the most recent season of ABC's Dancing With The Stars, but was eliminated early in the competition.

Barton's fame increased when she was cast as Marissa Cooper on FOX's The O.C., which aired from 2003-2007, though her character was killed off in 2006, at the end of the third season. Prior to the show, she had roles in Lawn Dogs, The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill, in addition to other film credits.
