Hers became the second most-watched Super Bowl halftime performance of all time, but Lady Gaga is being forced to now defend herself after body shamers criticized her for having an alleged 'pot belly' during her performance.

Gaga, who performed wearing a cropped top during the 13-minute long medley of songs, which included a "God Bless America" and "This Land is Your Land" mashup, and six of her own songs, including "Poker Face,' "Born This Way," "Telephone," "Just Dance," "Million Reasons," and "Bad Romance," mostly was met with praise for her performance, though some took to social media to point out that her belly area wasn't entirely flat-with a small bit of her stomach not appearing to be overly muscular.

However, after hearing that her stomach was apparently a topic of debate during the show, Gaga took to Instagram with an inspirational message aimed at the body-shamers, reminding them and her fans that everyone was different and should always be themselves, regardless of what those who hated said.

"I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you aa million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions. Thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys. Xoxo, gaga."

Others have also since taken to social media to express disgust over the comments against her, including ones where they even joked that if Gaga was considered fat or to have a pot belly, they didn't want to know what body shamers would have to say about them.
