Anne Hathaway shocked everyone when she dyed her hair platinum blonde for the Met Gala 2013 earlier this month but she has since returned back to being a brunette.

Hathawy, 30, went back to sporting her dark pixie haircut just three weeks after the A-list event held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The annual Costume Institute event celebrated the Punk: Chaos Couture exhibit. The Les Miserables actress scaid her inspiration for the new look came from one of the biggest punk singers of the 1980s that night.

"I don't know that you could tell it but looking at me, but Debbie Harry was [my inspiration]," Hathaway reportedly told Vogue

Hathaway was spotted in New York City on May 28 with her dark haircut her bangs swept to one side with a deep part days after she stopped by a Hollywood, Calif. hair salon to get her tresses darkened by celebrity hairstylist Marie Robinson.

The Academy award winner returned to her original roots for a role in a new movie she is filming in New York City. Hathaway was seen on the set of her next film, One Song, on Tuesday. According to the film's press release, she will play "a young woman who strikes up a relationship with her ailing brother's favorite musician."

Hathaway's husband, Adam Shulman, will produce the film with Jonathan Demme and Marc Platt for Worldview Entertainment.

Enstars reported that The Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner earned the title of Most Influential Film Haircut of All Time last month. In a poll conducted by the Hairdressing Council of Great Britain and Universal Pictures, Hathaway earned the largest percentage of votes by 1,000 people, according to Marie Claire UK. Jennifer Aniston's hairstyle came in second, for her look in Along Came Polly and Audrey Hepburn's classic updo in Breakfast at Tiffany's earned the third highest nod.
