Recombu has learned from an insider that Samsung Electronics is planning to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the second half of 2017. With this, it seems that the next iteration of Galaxy Note family will be out later this year to compete with Apple's latest iPhone, which is expected to be launched nearer to September time.

When it comes to specs and features, Droid Report has learned that it was highly believed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will sport a curved infinity display. It is predicted to be engineered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that will be paired with 6GB of RAM and an enormous 256 GB of storage. Hearsays also suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 will house a dual-lens camera and a big battery.

Speculations are also high that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be equipped with an iris scanner and an IP68 certification. The forthcoming phablet from the South Korean tech company might also feature a revamped S-Pen with speakers. When it comes with the screen size, it is anticipated to sport a 6.2 inches display although it could be as large as 6.4 inches.

There were also reports stating that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have two models. Both of which will be armed with dual-edged curved displays similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. These phablets will be codenamed Dream and Dream 2, with the former being the smaller.

As of this moment, Samsung hasn't uttered any word yet when it comes with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date. Nevertheless, the company already confirmed that despite the issues it has gone through with the Samsung galaxy Note 7, it will still unveil the successor of the handset.
