"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is still a number of months away from the console release and fans just seem to not get enough of it. However, not all about the game is considerably good news as the person behind it revealed.

The Bandai Namco Entertainment title "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is considerably a hit on arcades where it is already made available. This does not mean that fans are no longer waiting for the console versions. In fact, many ask about the particular topic. The man behind it all, Katsuhiro Harada, explained to those wondering what makes things slightly delayed or intriguing for the console versions.

According to Segment Next, one curiously brought up query is the cross-platform play for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." This was immediately answered by Harada, saying that the fighting game will not be rigged with the feature. This is primarily due to the policies of the first-party providers, namely Sony and Microsoft-representing the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One respectively. Harada iterated that it was not so much of a preference-oriented case, but more on the adherence to the regulations of these brands.

It can be recalled by some that the likes of "Street Fighter V" and "Killer Instinct" support cross-platform play, given that they are both fighting games respectively. Sadly, it may not be the case for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" despite not having any tangible issues with creating it. Nonetheless, fans will have to simply pick one platform if they wish to successfully verse others along the way.

In other news, Forbes reported that the recent addition to the "Tekken 7" Fated Retribution" roster is Capoeira-disciplined Eddy Gordo. After many leaks, the classic Tekken 3 character is finally called aboard for the latest expansion, with a few moves adapted to the existing system. What do you think of Bandai Namco's decision to restrict cross-platform play?
