After a long while, John Mayer released his new song, "Still Feel Like Your Man," which is pretty about Katy Perry. The 39-year-old star admitted that the single has a connection with her former on-again-off-again girlfriend that is part of his new album, "The Search for Everything."

"Who else would I be thinking about?" John Mayer told the New York Times. The "Your Body is Wonderland" hitmaker revealed that he hasn't been dating a lot of women for the last five or six years.

Hence, John Mayer's romance with Katy Perry was the only relationship he had. So, he was now asking everyone to just give this moment to him and revealed his sentiments through his song, "Still Feel Like Your Man," E! News reported.

Moreover, John Mayer unveiled that he started to write songs, which were mostly emotional singles too, for "The Search for Everything" in 2014. "I'm a young guy. I like girls. I want girls to like me. I want to make music and be thought of as attractive," he said.

In fact, John Mayer wanted to consider "The Search for Everything" more than just an album full of breakup anthems. He further said that there were even times that he would suddenly cry, not because of his on-again-off-again relationship with Katy Perry, but because of his deep emotion.

Now that he is nearing 40, John Mayer confessed that he already quitted drinking to work on his "attachment style." The "Free Fallin'" singer narrated that he was wishing that someone would give

him a birthday bash on that special day, Us Weekly cited.

He, too, wanted a baby who would wear a pair of protective earphones while waiting for him on the side of the stage while he is performing. John Mayer is also longing to have a something that he can call home instead of just living in different hotels. "I want to say, 'We'll take it.' ... I'm right on time for my career, and I'm running late for my life," he admitted.
