Lana Del Rey is ushering in a new era, releasing a trailer for her upcoming studio album, Lust for Life.

Del Rey's typical vintage aesthetic blends with futuristic sci-fi in the singer's newly released trailer for her fifth studio album. The black-and-white trailer begins with a zoom in on the Hollywood sign, where Del Rey resides in the middle of the "H".

The singer narrates about her album-making process and finding her place in the world during these uncertain times, as she looks at the camera curiously. Various items float around her little room, from a globe to an hourglass to a chalice, and she looks out her window onto the L.A. landscape, and witnesses the Statue of Liberty's torch snuffed out from afar.

"As we transition out of one era into another one, there's no place I'd rather be then smack dab in the middle of Hollyweird, making this record for you," she tells us. "Because you and the music and this place are my love, my life, my lust for life."

Del Rey smiles at the camera after writing the album title on the chalkboard, at which point she disappears and the chalkboard floats off into space. It is then revealed that Lust for Life is coming soon, with no set release date confirmed.

For now, fans of Del Rey will have to keep listening to the album's first single, "Love". The music video for the single certainly reflects her nostalgic yet futuristic aesthetic for this album cycle.

Lust for Life will be Del Rey's first album since Honeymoon, which was released in September 2015. However, she collaborated with The Weeknd on his new album, Starboy, performing on "Stargirl Interlude" and "Party Monster". They previously collaborated on his Beauty Behind the Madness album, for the song "Prisoner".

The singer has also written and/or performed songs for the movies over the past several years, including The Great Gatsby, Maleficent, Big Eyes and the trailer for The Age of Adaline.
