Marvel has officially released the first official trailer for the much awaited third film installment, "Thor: Ragnarok" as well as a new poster depicting Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, Thor, in his new look.

The new "Thor: Ragnarok" poster is seemingly reminding fans that the upcoming movie is going to be all about the God of Thunder despite the inclusion of Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and other new and old characters, Screenrant reported. Interesting enough, not only did it once again showed the new hairstyle of Hemsworth as Thor but it also featured the helmet that the character used in the comic books.

The website continued to note that it shouldn't really be surprising to see Thor have the first poster for the movie. And it went on to say that others might join in possibly with Hulk as the next potential character or even Loki (Tom Hiddleston) or Hela (Cate Blanchett).

Meanwhile, the much awaited first trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok" has been released. According to Cinemablend, the trailer teases some of the main highlights of the movie including the destruction of Asgard, Jeff Goldblum's debut as the Grandmaster and the showdown of Thor and Hulk in the coliseum.

The "Thor: Ragnarok" trailer also debuts Hela as the first leading female villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Verge reported that the character is immensely powerful due to her capability to destroy Thor's Mjolnir effortlessly - with just one hand. The source even went on to commend Blanchett's portayal of the character, calling it Marvel's next big break in villains since Loki.

This is not the first time Blanchett has portayed an otherworldly being. She once played the role of Galadriel, a very powerful Elf in the "Lord of the Rings" film series.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to hit cinemas on Nov. 4, 2017. It will be the last film that Marvel will release for the year 2017 for its Marvel Cinematic Universe phase 3.
