According to IGN, there have been a series of tweets from the members of the team behind "Arrow" exposing that the series veteran Manu Bennett will return as Deathstroke in the show's finale, entitled "Lian Yu."

It was also noted that even the title of the season finale is a tease as it is the name of the Island that functioned as the promoter for Oliver Queen's evolution into the vigilante that the avid viewers are seeing today.

It was also mentioned that Oliver Queen who is portrayed by Stephen Amell was the first one to publicly expose that Deathstroke will be returning to "Arrow" season 5 finale. He posted an image on Twitter of the iconic two-toned helmet as he welcomes Bennett's comeback.

Aside from that, executive producer Marc Guggenheim also tweeted an image of the script, which reveals the title of "Arrow's" final episode. He precisely mentioned Bennett in the post indicating his reappearance to the series. Gugganheim further followed this tweet by stating that Bennett's return "is only the first of a few exciting announcements" that the fans should look forward to.

Collider has also noted that even though the confirmation of Manu Bennett's return as Deathstroke has been visible, his role is being kept under wraps. Nevertheless, if the audience are expecting to see him raise devastation in Oliver's City once again, they might be surprised.

As the news outlet spoke to Entertainment Weekly writer Wendy Mericle, she teased an unlikely helper in Oliver's mission to defeat Prometheus. She further stated that "Arrow" season 5 finale will be emotional as it center about Oliver's family.
