Lady Gaga was seen looking svelte in a bikini in Mexico after struggling with her weight last year, TMZ reported Thursday.

Gaga told Stylist Magazine in an interview last year, "I don't really care if [people] think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds."

The 26-year-old singer had to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way tour in February to undergo emergency hip surgery to treat a tear in her right hip.

The Born This Way tour grossed $168.2 million by January 17, according to Billboard Boxscore, with the Asian, European, and South American legs already completed in 2012. The North American leg, which was scheduled to be the end of the tour and was almost completely sold out, would have likely put the tour at more than $200 million gross and in the top 20 tours of all time, according to Billboard.

Even with the tour cancellation, Gaga finished sixth among all touring artists in 2012, with a gross of $125 million and attendance of more than 1.1 million, according to Boxscore.

Gaga is writing her third album, ARTPOP, to be released mid-to-late 2013.

Gaga makes her acting debut in the role of La Chameleon in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, the follow-up to 2010's Machete.

The film follows Machete, played by Danny Trejo, an ex-Federale who is hired by the U.S. president to hunt down arms dealers in Mexico that are threatening to send weapons into space.

Charlie Sheen plays the American president in the film. The actor is listed in the film credits by his birth name Carlos Estevez for the first time in his professional acting career.

Also cast is Antonio Banderas, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Sofía Vergara, Amber Heard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Hudgens and Mel Gibson.
