Fashionista and celebrity LaLa Anthony has opened up, for the first time, about her separation from her husband, NBA star Carmelo Anthony.

News of the split hit the Internet earlier this year. Now, after slaying on one red carpet after another, she has broken her silence on the status of their relationship.

LaLa made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday. When asked about divorcing Carmelo, she said, "Not right now."

"You know marriages are tough... it's filled with ups and downs," LaLa said. "We are just going through a tough time right now."

She also spoke about their 10-year-old son, Kiyan.

"He and I are the best of friends and our number one commitment is to our son, Kiyan. We have to set an example for Kiyan and that's what's most important to me. I would absolutely never say a bad thing about my husband. That's my son's father and he is an amazing dad."

She added that despite the drama that they are going through in the public eye, their friendship is still strong. They have also managed to successfully co-parent when it comes to Kiyan.

"I don't know what the future holds," she said. "I just know that we are doing an incredible job again being parents to our son. We are the best of friends. I've been with Melo since was 19 years old. You're not with somebody that long, and it just goes out the window. I love him with all my heart, and we are the best of friends."

The two tied the knot in 2010.

LaLa has been focused on her career as a star of Power on Starz.

She has also been making fashion statements as she has made the Best Dressed List for several events, including this year's Met Gala. See her clip on The Wendy Williams Show below.
