In this report by Telegraph, Harry disclosed that even if it is very hard for a parent to tell the children that the other parent has died, their father still was able to break the news to them. He shared how their father never left them in the difficult period as Charles tried to do his best and just to make sure that they were protected and looked after. He did this as he was also going through the same grieving process.

The Duke of Cambridge understands how their grandmother wanted to protect them and Charles from whatever the press published about Diana's death. The Queen removed all the newspapers; therefore, William and Harry did not know what was going on that time.

Apart from this, according to Popsugar, William also recognized the advantage of the lack of technology at that time as this made things a little easier. He was very thankful that there were no smartphones during the time so he could not get any news about the tragic death of their mother. Then they were able to mourn in private and to try to just have space away from the public.

Moreover, Harry and William have also shared of the confusion they felt at the public grief after the death of their mother Diana. With this, the two princes struggled to understand why so many people, a lot of strangers were crying when they did not even know Diana personally. William also paid tribute to their grandmother for keeping them at Balmoral following the death of their mother.
