Charlie Sheen has just filed a defamation lawsuit against National Enquirer after the tabloid claimed that the actor sexually assaulted Corey Haim. The incident allegedly happened 30 years ago.

Charlie Sheen Files Defamation Lawsuit

On Friday, the actor filed the suit against the publication at the Los Angeles Superior Court. In the court documents obtained online, Sheen is seeking a jury trial, exemplary and punitive damages, attorney's fees, and more.

Last month, National Enquirer released a story about Sheen sexually assaulting Haim when he was 19 and the latter was only 13 years old. The allegations were made by Haim's friend, Dominick Brascia, who is also sued by Sheen. A spokesperson for Sheen denied the accusations thereafter.

Also, in the court documents, Sheen claimed that National Enquirer's top editor, Dylan Howard, has a personal vendetta against him. The actor's lawyer claimed that Howard was displeased when his publication didn't break the story first about Sheen's HIV diagnosis two years ago.

"The cruel and malicious publication of these stories is particularly offensive because Mr. Sheen is a father of five and has children approximately the age of Mr. Haim. This story is not only damaging and offensive to Mr. Sheen, but hurtful to his family and young children as well," read the court documents.

Meanwhile, days after the article about Sheen was published, Haim's mother, Judy, denied that Sheen molested her late son. While on The Dr. Oz Show, she said that someone else did.

According to Judy, it was actually Brascia who molested her son when he was just a teenager. Judy's shocking confession was initially bleeped out during her interview. Brascia was already linked to Haim's abuse last year. At that time, he denied the allegations.

"It's totally not true. I'm as shocked as everyone else as Haim was one of my good friends, I knew him for over 25 years," said Brascia.

Corey Haim's Cause Of Death

Unfortunately, Haim could no longer reveal who really molested him at a young age because the actor passed away seven years ago.

At that time, it was revealed that Haim died due to pneumonia and a bad heart. Following his death, toxicology reports revealed that there were at least eight different drugs in his system. However, none contributed to his sudden demise.

Judy revealed that he witnessed her son shake in all directions before he eventually became unresponsive.
