Yo Gotti didn’t let Angela Simmons’ child or fiancé get in the way of letting his crush on the reality TV star and fashionista be known in front of thousands of fans.

It’s not the first time Yo Gotti has declared his love for Simmons and from the sounds of it, it might not be the last.

Yo Gotti Lets His Feelings Be Known

Yo Gotti took his performance at the popular V103 Winterfest in Atlanta to remind fans of his feelings for Simmons. He rapped the lyrics to his hit Down In The DM and said, “I just followed Angela…” He changed the lyrics from, “Boy, I got a crush on Angela” to “Still got a crush on Angela.”

It’s been roughly two years since the song first came out with the shout out for Simmons in late 2015. He took things a step further and sent her flowers as she celebrated the launch of her Foofi and Bella faux fur line in January 2016. Unfortunately for him, she pretty much said she wasn’t interested in him in that way.

“They were really nice flowers. I’m flattered. He’s really nice, that’s awesome,” said Simmons before she added it was “awkward” to her to be in a room with someone who put her name in a song. “I grew up around these people in the industry so it’s all love when I see them.”

Still Crushing After Two Years

She revealed he ended up making an appearance at her faux fur launch party and she told him she was “flattered” by the mention. Still, Yo Gotti’s trek for Simmons’ affection didn’t stop there.

He made an appearance on The Real in February 2016 and had a special message for Simmons. He told the co-hosts he thought her good girl reputation with his bad boy upbringing would be a perfect match.

Interestingly enough, Angela ended up revealing she was in a serious relationship just days later. She then announced her pregnancy the following May. It was a while before she let fans know the father of her child is a man named Tennyson Sutton. Despite that, Yo Gotti is clearly still feeling her.

If you’re wondering what her father, Rev Run Simmons, would think about the match, he was surprisingly calm, cool, and collected about Yo Gotti’s obvious crush.

“Yo Gotti has been really cool to my family,” said Rev Run during an interview with The Breakfast Club. “This was before Angela was Instagramming…Big time Angela. She’s a good girl and all I can do is be the best father I can be. I just let the cards fall where they may.”
