Selena Gomez appears to be happy to be back with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber. Unfortunately, her family isn't sharing in her excitement.

According to a new report, Gomez's family, including her mother, Mandy Teefey, don't like Bieber and would have preferred if the 25-year-old "Wolves" singer stayed with her now-ex boyfriend, The Weeknd, whom she dated for 10 months earlier this year.

“Selena‘s family doesn’t like Justin,” an insider close to Gomez's family revealed to Hollywood Life on Dec. 20.

“They all loved Abel so much, so it’s a wave of emotions right now for all involved."

Gomez and Bieber were first seen together at the end of October. After Gomez's breakup from The Weeknd was confirmed, Gomez and Bieber were caught kissing during one of Bieber's ice hockey games in Los Angeles. All the while, Gomez's family has reportedly been cringing at the thought of her taking Bieber back after all the troubles they had years ago.

“They’re having a hard time telling their true feelings to Selena because they know the more they talk bad about him,” the insider explained. “The more hurt she’ll feel. They are really caught between a rock and a hard place.”

Gomez and Bieber had been at odds for over a year before reconciling months ago. As fans may recall, the couple came to blows last August before Gomez went to rehab and fought publicly about his decision to share a photo of himself with model Sofia Richie. During their fight, Gomez shockingly revealed that Bieber had cheated on her many times. Bieber fired back by suggesting she had cheated on him with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik.

Gomez is “heartbroken” that her reconciliation with Bieber is having a bad effect on her family, the report continued, adding that the singer “feels like she’s being forced to choose sides.”

She’s torn “between pleasing her mother and following her heart,” the source added.

Ahead of the upcoming holiday season, Gomez's mother was reportedly hospitalized after enduring a messy argument with her daughter. Shortly thereafter, the two women made a shocking move on social media when they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
