Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus appear to be considering a reunion just one day after announcing the end of their months-long romance.

During a new interview, DeJesus admitted that she wasn't completely sold on the idea of having Marroquin absent from her life.

"I don’t know what’s going to happen but we are talking and trying to figure it out," DeJesus confirmed to Blasting News on Jan. 17. "I remain hopeful that, even though we’re currently split up, we may be able to figure out a way to make things work and get back together."

DeJesus, who joined the Teen Mom 2 cast of season 8 in 2017, told the outlet that she still cares for Marroquin and has feelings for him. Still, at this point in time, she and her co-star are split up, and he appears to be enjoying some sort of winter vacation without her.

Marroquin was first to break the news of his split from DeJesus and did so publicly on Monday.

"I’m hurting a little right now. I’m upset about it," he told Radar Online.

At the time of his announcement, Marroquin was fresh off an alleged dispute with DeJesus's family but refused to say why he ended his relationship with DeJesus. Then just a short time later, DeJesus released a statement of her own, claiming that because she wouldn't move in with Marroquin and cancel her plastic surgery plans, he dumped her.

“He doesn’t want me to get my surgery for a breast lift, lipo, and tummy tuck (which I’m doing in two weeks) because it’ll look bad on his name at work,” DeJesus revealed to Blasting News on Jan. 16.

DeJesus also said Marroquin wanted to have a wife at home.

As viewers of Teen Mom 2 well know, Marroquin was previously married for three and a half years to Kailyn Lowry, and the couple shares one son, 4-year-old Lincoln Marshall Marroquin. Meanwhile, his former girlfriend, DeJesus, has two daughters from two previous relationships.

Javi Marroquin, Briana DeJesus, and their co-stars, including Jenelle Evans, David Eason, Jo Rivera, Kailyn Lowry, Jeremy Calvert, Leah Messer, Corey Simms, Cole DeBoer, and Chelsea Houska, are currently in the middle of filming on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.

MTV has not yet confirmed a premiere date for the new installment.
