Paris Jackson is doing much better since her hospitalization for an alleged suicide attempt but she still has a long way to go, E! News reported Friday.

A source said that the 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson would remain hospitalized at the UCLA Center. A decision would be made shortly as to where her treatment would take place indefinitely. There was even the possibility of Paris residing with her biological mother, Debbie Rowe.

"She is going to have several months to be [in the hospital], or to another facility...or she will stay a while with Debbie and have daily sessions," the source said. "They are deciding now. A lot has to do with the hospital and the doctor's recommendations."

The source added that Paris' Calabasas home was not an option at this time. It was indicated that it would be some time before she returned to the place where a 911 tape confirmed that she cut her wrist with a knife and swallowed 20 Motrin pills. After her eventual release from the hospital, she may seek out of state treatment but no final decision has been made.

"She is not going to go back to her home immediately after getting out of the hospital. At some point, when she is ready, she will go back to her Calabasas home," the source said.

Regardless, Rowe has been a constant at Paris side' since her reported attempt on her life June 5. A source said that Rowe has taken charge.

"[Debbie] is talking to her every day," the source said. "Debbie has basically taken the situation by the hand."
