Dean McDermott called the cops Wednesday morning to do a welfare check on his wife, Tori Spelling, after she left home with one of their kids.

Welfare Check

Deputies located Spelling at her doctor's office after McDermott called the cops to check up on his wife. Three Ventura County Sheriff's unit arrived at the doctor's office at a building in Thousand Oaks, California around 9:45 a.m.

Footage from the wellness check showed McDermott standing outside the doctor's office while carrying their 1-year-old baby. An officer was also at the scene. However, everyone eventually went their merry way after the cops determined that Spelling and the kids were okay. No further action was taken since no crime was committed.

"We were asked to check on her well-being, Deputies went out to talk to her briefly and determined she was fine," a spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department told ET.

The Beverly Hills 90210 alum left home with one of their five kids, which apparently worried McDermott. It is unclear why he was so concerned about Spelling's well-being, although it may have something to do with her recent mental breakdown.

Mental Breakdown

This is the second time that the former Chopped host called the cops on his wife. Police responded to a disturbance call on March 1 at the family's home in Woodland Hills, California. Officer Rosario Herrera from the Los Angeles Police Department said the call came at 7:17 a.m.

McDermott reportedly called the cops and told them that Spelling was having a mental breakdown. Officers spent several hours at the couple's home but determined the situation was a domestic incident and that no crime was committed.

The night before, Spelling also called the cops to report a break-in. However, it was just McDermott arriving home.

A source said that the True Tori star is in a tough place right now and can get very stressed with work, marriage, and her kids. Spelling shares children Stella, 9, Hattie, 6, Liam, 10, Finn, 5, and Beau, 1, with McDermott. A source said that the disturbance call at her home was a wake-up call for her to focus on her health.

"Tori has a long road ahead, but she is finally realizing she needs to focus on her health and clean up her financial and marital problems. She loves having kids, but they have become her main focus and the stress of that with her marriage, and endless debt, left her no time for herself," the source said.

The insider added that McDermott and Spelling are working together to overcome their financial issues and marital problems.
