Hugh Grant is now a father of five as Swedish girlfriend, Anna Eberstein, has given birth to another child with the actor, according to actress Elizabeth Hurley.
Grant is on diaper duty once again after pal and ex-girlfriend Hurley confirmed that he has welcomed a baby with Eberstein last week. The 52-year-old model broke the news first before the couple could make an official announcement during Thursday's guest appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Hurley opened up about Grant's baby when the host asked whether she was surprised to learn that her ex-boyfriend is already a father to four. He asked Hurley what she thinks of Grant father so many kids in a span of six years.
The 57-year-old Love Actually star is already a dad to 5-year-old son Felix Chang and 6-year-old daughter Tabitha Xaio Xi from ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong. Now, Grant is a father to five after his 39-year-old girlfriend gave birth to their third child. The couple welcomed a son and a daughter in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
"Well, he had another last week. He has five," Hurley let slip before joking that Grant "spawned" them all when he was over 50. On a serious note, the actress praised the Notting Hill star for being a wonderful father to his kids.
"No, he's an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet," Hurley added.
The Royals actress credits Grant's children for his transformation. They have helped him become a better person. Hurley said that having the kids changed the actor from a "very miserable person into a fairly miserable person." She added that Grant has "gone up the scale" because the children helped him improve for the better.
News that Grant and Eberstein, a Swedish television producer, were expecting their third child came out after her mother, Susanne, confirmed the pregnancy. She told Swedish magazine Aftonbladet that she is very happy to be getting another grandchild.
Coincidentally, photos of Eberstein's baby bump also surfaced online after she and Grant were photographed together at a New York City airport. There was no mistaking her growing belly poking through her coat.
On his end, the Paddington 2 star is happy and contended being a father. Grant previously opened up about fatherhood in an interview with People, where he expressed his utmost love for his children.
"Suddenly you love someone more than yourself. It's unheard of in my case. And they love you, and it's all enchanting," Grant said.
