Brad Pitt and his new buddy Neri Oxman have been friends for a while. The actor was spotted visiting her on campus late last year.

Not So Secret Rendezvous

Rumors swirled last week that Pitt and Oxman are romantically involved, but representatives of both parties denied anything is going on.

Now, it seems the two have been hanging out much longer than it first appeared, as the 54-year-old actor was spotted at the MIT building, where Oxman works as a professor, as far back as November 2017.

Pitt apparently took one of Oxman's classes the week after Thanksgiving. Several students posted pictures of him posing with the class; one even shows him standing right next to Oxman.

A fellow architect reckons Pitt is right to pursue Oxman.

"She's genius and gorgeous," he said.

Pitt, who was clearly trying to keep a low profile, sported an all-black outfit for the visit. Although the photos of him posing happily alongside the class are still widely available, the one showing Pitt and Oxman standing next to each other has since been taken down.

Just Friends

The actor and the professor struck up an unlikely friendship, based predominantly on a shared love of architecture.

Pitt reportedly met Oxman via an architecture project at MIT. She works at the university as a professor of media arts and sciences at the Media Lab.

Their relationship is nothing more than a professional friendship, but also added that Pitt is looking to get closer to Oxman, a source confirmed.

Oxman may not be too sold on the idea, however, as a recent interview found her utilizing Pitt and fellow actor George Clooney as examples of the American tendency to idolize male icons.

"For the same reason we have the Brad Pitts and the George Clooneys, it's just part of human nature to idolize stereotypes. Such singularities are useful to the common perception of heroism," she said at the time.

Casually Playing The Field

Pitt has been casually dating since his divorce from Angelina Jolie, with whom he spent 12 years together and shared six children.

He was recently spotted with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, much to the delight of fans hoping the longtime exes would make things work.

Oxman, meanwhile, has been most recently linked to billionaire activist investor Bill Ackman. The two have allegedly been dating for the better part of a year.

Pitt toyed with the idea of becoming an architect after founding the Make It Right foundation, which builds affordable and environmentally-friendly homes for people in need in New Orleans.
