It hasn’t been a great week for Kim Zolciak Biermann. Her series Don’t Be Tardy is on pause amid The Real Housewives of Atlanta backlash.

The Scene In Question

Zolciak made headlines after she was accused of being racist on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Viewers came for Zolciak on social media when she claimed during the last few minutes of the show that racism didn’t exist when the show first aired 10 years ago.

The clip was at the end when Zolciak cried to executive producer Andy Cohen in the bathroom. It looks like Zolciak is still facing fallout and consequences from the moment.

Kim Takes A Break

“Kim and her team have halted all production for Don’t Be Tardy while her lawyers have been working around the clock to investigate and deal with the final episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly Wednesday, April 25. “Kim has pulled the plug on filming. She’s very upset about the entire situation.”

Viewers who tuned in to the conclusion of the explosive reunion special saw a very distressed Zolciak blast the women for how they all came at her just moments before. While she said she didn’t experience one happy moment in the reunion, Cohen pointed out that she didn’t bring anything positive to the reality series this season.

Star Clears Up Her Statement

Zolciak took to social media and said her comments about racism were taken out of context. She said she does not support racism or any other similar opinions, and that her comments were edited to make her appear to say that racism doesn’t exist.

She added that while fans only saw a few moments of the bathroom scene, she and Cohen spoke for 45 minutes. Zolciak claimed she really said it was social media, not racism, that wasn't a big deal when the show started 10 years ago. She added that much has changed since Season 1 of the series, thanks to viewers being able to express their opinions via social media.

She ended and said she had nothing but prayers for those who have attacked her and wished her harm as she continues to embrace and love everyone.

Meanwhile, as her spinoff is on pause, she reportedly won’t be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta either. Word is none of the co-stars want to tape with her. Interestingly enough, Zolciak’s only ally, Sheree Whitfield, was reportedly fired from the show.
