In a 2-minute promotional video, actress Kristen Bell speaks to her fans about her contest for a charity that is "near and dear to [her] heart" that offers one person a  chance to go on a date with her.

The Fourth Estate leadership summit, a human rights conference, is being held by the charity organization Invisible Children in August. The charity deals with ending the Lord's Resistance Army in Central Africa and was founded in 2004.

In the video Bell talks about her past success with fundraising, saying, "There are only two things I really care about: The Veronica Mars movie getting made and changing the world."

She and Mars creator Rob Thomas reached their $2 million goal on Kickstarter less than 24 hours after the campaign was initially launched.

Prizeo, a fundraising platform for celebs and their philanthropic efforts, prepared a campaign for Bells's fans to donate funds. By donating, contributors will be in the running for the grand prize of attending the charity event as Bell's date as well as other prizes such as a signed headshot, a personalized "thank you" note or a Skype session with the star.

Bell clarified the restrictions of the date, shedding a little light of hope for her fans.

"Not my date like we're gonna hook up, but my date like we'll sit at the table together, maybe we'll hold hands! I don't know, we'll see how the night goes," she joked

Bell's date to the event will be in good company at their table with a select slew of stars including Sophia Bush and Rachel Bilson. The Fourth Estate leadership summit will be part film festival, part music festival and "Ted talk," with our favorite uncensored teddy bear. Food and dancing is also promised at the event.

The weekend long event will take place Aug. 8-11.
