Parenting is challenging, especially when you're a royal. Things do not simply fall under the good or bad category. Depending on the circumstances and the environment, parents have to choose how they want to raise their kids. Some say it is all about instinct.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been praised for this one thing that they do for their children. On the other hand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been called out for failing to make a difference in their child's life that'll benefit him in the long run.

Both couples have to be applauded for parenting in the spotlight. Being a new parent is always challenging, but parenting while everyone else is watching only makes it complicated. It seems the crowd appreciates the one thing that Kate and William do that Meghan and Harry are not -- allowing their kids to socialize in various royal events.

When the royal couples announced their pregnancies, everyone's eyes were on Kate and Meghan. They were obsessed with what the two new moms are eating, what they're doing, and their maternity fashion style. In the midst of learning to be new parents, the couples had to deal with immense fame and a whole lot of judgment.

Kate is socializing her children

Prince William and Kate are often seen in social events together. But when her husband couldn't be with her, Kate tags the kids along. For example, the kids were with Kate to watch their father's charity Polo match.

Charlotte was also with Kate during the King's Cup Regatta (though Charlotte tucks her tongue out that sent everyone hilariously tizzy).

However, Meghan isn't inclined to expose her son to the royal life.

Is Archie living a "sheltered" life?

Harry and Meghan are doing their best to raise their son in private. Who could blame the new parents? With all the negative publicity about his mother, a natural instinct is to shelter their son from everything else that could hurt him.

However, keeping their child too sheltered might not be healthy for him, too. He might not be able to build true royalties, which could be bad in the long run.

At the Polo match where Kate and Meghan were, there is not one photo of Meghan without Archie in her arms. She carried him practically the whole event that he didn't have the time to play around with the other children. Meghan and Harry do not allow their son to socialize with his cousins or the other family members for that matter.

Archie Growing Up Without a Social Life

Meghan and Prince Harry may be apprehensive about putting Archie in the spotlight after all what their young marriage has been through. Nonetheless, keeping him from building social relationships can be detrimental.

As he grows older, the social habits he will develop will have a huge impact on his life. With a very few close friends allowed around the royal family, it is becoming a more serious concern that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not opening the doors for their son to interact with the world.

Prince William and Kate have allowed the press to welcome Princess Charlotte during her first day of school. The kids will have to grow up in the spotlight, so might as well start them young.

Hopefully, Meghan and Harry see this sooner rather than later. With a little bit for a room for growing, Meghan could help her son become a confident young man.
