Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look like they need some help. The royal couple is trying to navigate through the spotlight being royalties, and it appears they are not getting any luck.

What would Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, tell the royal couple if she were still alive? Perhaps, the two could use some wisdom from someone who has been there and done that.

Princess Diana's former personal assistant and butler believes that if Princess Diana were alive, she would have offered them some help. After all, she herself has suffered intense scrutiny from the British media.

The Royal Struggle

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been under intense public and media attention, and it sure looks they have had enough. Prince Harry has declared that they are filing a lawsuit against media agencies that have published Meghan's private letter to her father.

At the time when they broke the news about the lawsuit, Prince Harry also issued a statement saying that his wife has suffered enough bullying from the U.K. tabloids. He also added that he didn't want his wife to suffer the same fate as his mother did. The Duke of Sussex shared that his deepest fear is to see history repeat itself.

The former assistant of Princess Diana, Paul Burrell, said that Meghan Markle would have learned great wisdom from Prince Harry's late mother.

In a documentary shown in the Smithsonian Channel entitled "Princess Diana's Wicked Stepmother," Burrell revealed that he would also speak his mind even when he is around the royal family. He said that he feels he owes it to the memory of Princess Diana to speak only of the truth.

Burrell also noted that he thinks the media is being unfair to Meghan and Harry. He further emphasized that within the span of one year, the two got married and had their first child. In his words, the media should "cut Markle some slack." He then asked the press how far they will go before she suffers from mental illness.

When asked what advice would Princess Diana give to Harry and Meghan if she were still alive, Burrell had a clear answer.

Burrell said that Princess Diana would certainly run to Meghan and give her a hug. Morever, he thinks the late princess would have spent some time giving Markle advice on how to deal with media and their criticism. Burrell then pointed that Princess Diana would have told the couple not to follow her.

"Don't listen to everything that they say about you. You know who you are," she would have said, according to Burrell.

Perhaps she would also tell them to refrain from reading what the tabloids are saying. It is also best not to watch the news. After all, the tabloids can write everything they want about the members of the royal family, but only the family will know of the truth.
