'Teen Mom 2' Star Jenelle Evans Fears Safety, Flees Family Home With Kids
Jenelle Evans and David Eason got married in September 2017. Two years into the marriage, however, Jenelle is calling it quits.
The "Teen Mom 2" star posted an announcement of her divorce from her husband on Instagram. She explained that she has been out of social media for a why as he pondered what she called "some big life decisions."
The actress continued to say that since she took some time away from "Teen Mom 2," she started to look at her life from a different perspective. She believes she needs to make a change. Furthermore, Evans said that she only wants the best for her kids, which led her to make a life-changing decision.
Challenging Summer
The news of their impending divorce came after the challenging summer that Evans and Eason had as a couple.
Earlier this year, they both lost custody of their children after David shot their family dog after it bit their daughter. Two months after, Evans got back their children.
In an exclusive interview with People last September, Evans said that her marriage with Eason has been "stronger than ever." She said that what happened to them, especially the kids being taken away, had only made their bond stronger.
Evans also came into the defense of Eason, saying that her husband grew up in a country lifestyle and not everyone sees things from his perspective.
Jenelle, Kids in Danger?
While the reason behind their split remains unknown, Evans announced that she has filed for divorce from her husband. While Evans denied that Eason abused her after she made a 911 call in October 2018, people can speculate it might have happened again.
Only this time, she's not coming to his defense.
"The kids and I have moved away from David," Evans revealed in her IG post. "Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids.
"Today I've filed papers to start that process."
Evans continued writing and said that she appreciates the support from the people around them. She thanked those who called and sent a message to check up on her and the kids.
