Meghan Markle has always been known to speak her mind.

As a little girl, Markle has become part of a commercial campaign to fight sexism. Long before she met and married Prince Harry, Meghan would publicly speak about women's empowerment through education. When she became a royal, her platform has become more influential, but so are the restrictions to what she can and cannot say in public.

In fact, this character of hers has put her in hot water with the royal family. In a recent interview with Bradby of ITV for their documentary, the Duchess of Sussex may have been quite blunt about her description of the royal life. The Firm has yet to release a statement about it, but sources said that the Queen was not very happy about what she said.

There are official engagements and speeches where she can express her views and opinions about various social concerns. Unlike when she was a Hollywood actress, Meghan cannot talk directly to the press. However, in her most recent trip to Luminary Bakery, Meghan was able to talk with Bryony Gordon of The Telegraph.

Gordon revealed that Meghan spoke to him to explain why she wasn't worried that she is breaking the royal protocol. Markle said that being in the U.K. has allowed her to see the expectations that the world has on women. She added that she just wants people to relax because, at the end of the day, every woman is the same.

"We all have a story to tell," Meghan said to two women.

Meghan also expressed her delight that she was able to hear the stories of the women during the event

Gordon continued to say that Meghan told her that she didn't want people to love her. Instead, she wants them to hear her. She wants her stance in the royal family to be used as a voice to empower those who are less privileged than her.

Markle, as reported, also spoke of the Luminary Bakery and how much she appreciates what they do. The bakery provides an avenue for training to disadvantaged women to help build their confidence. This, she said, meant a lot to her.

"That is what I love about this place, it gives you [women] the time to heal," Markle said.

At the moment, Markle may not be concerned about the people loving her, still, many people do. The letter from the women of the Parliament that expressed their support for her truly shows how well-loved the Duchess of Sussex is, whether the media reports it or not.
