Twilight star Taylor Lautner used his muscles to help a friend in need on Monday night.

The actor and his Tracers co-star, Marie Avgeropoulos, took a break from filming to see Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre in New York City. A source told Page Six that after the show they went downstairs to meet the cast, but Avgeropoulos, who was on crutches due to a leg injury, "had a tough time getting back up to leave."

After she attempted to climb the stairs and failed, Lautner reportedly came to the rescue. The 21-year-old crouched down and let Avgeropoulos hop on his back.

"He carried her up piggyback," the source added.

After the quick save, the two signed autographs for fans outside the theatre.

Last month, Lautner and 26-year-old Canadian actress were spotted getting cozy in a car together. On the Fourth of July, there were rumors that Lautner was seen kissing his co-star, "a dark-haired young lady," in their private cabana at Hudson Terrace nightclub.

Tracers is about a NYC bike messenger (Lautner) who escapes into the world of parkour after being followed by the mafia. The messenger meets a beautiful stranger (Avgeropoulos) along the way and more drama erupts. Lautner has been spotted multiple times filming throughout the city as he rides on his bike, flies in the sky and even leaps through trees. The cast and crew of Tracers were spotted just last week in Hackensack, NJ, filming a bank robbery.
