In a series of photos posted on James Franco's Instagram, Franco seems to have taken a break from the many of his projects to have some fun in an intense painting game.

On Friday, the Spring Breakers star posted a close-up of him wearing a bath-robe and a shower cap all while being covered in different colors of paint. He captioned the photo, "Paint- dodgeball."

The same day, he posted a full-length photo of himself without the robe and shower cap. Again, he is covered in colored paint, but only wearing socks, shorts to cover his private parts and a mask to protect his face. He is centered in what looks like an art studio since there are various paintings behind him.

On Saturday, he shared a picture of nine other people who were covered in paint just like him. These must be the group of friends he played "paint dodgeball" with. No other captions on both his Twitter and Instagram page revealed any more details.

Art isn't a new hobby for the 35-year-old actor. In June 2010, he had his first solo art exhibition at the Clocktower Gallery in NYC. Curated by Alanna Heiss, the five-room show featured sculpture, drawings and photographs of masculinity by Franco. He currently has a Hitchcock-inspired art exhibition, Psycho Nacirema, at Pace London until July 27.
