Simon Cowell faced another dreaded disease weeks after breaking his arm in an e-bike accident.

Cowell's spokesperson delivered the saddening news to PEOPLE, saying that the 62-year-old tested positive for COVID-19. With that, he would not be able to join the other judges on "Britain's Got Talent: during the auditions.

"Simon was unable to attend filming today as he was isolating at home after testing positive for COVID-19," his representative said.

Before testing positive for the virus, the TV personality was scheduled to work with Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams on Thursday's episode of the talent competition.

As of press time, it remains unknown when he would be able to return to film the show.

After sharing the news with the public, fans expressed their concerns and delivered get well soon messages to Cowell.

One fan wrote, "#simoncowell Make sure the fever. don't get to your head, because you'll sleep walk lol please get well soon baby boo."

"Get well soon @SimonCowell We love you," another said.

Simon Cowell's Latest Health Update

His COVID-19 positive test result came weeks after he faced another e-bike accident after the first one that almost left him crippled.

The Sun first reported that Cowell was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He then smashed his body and e-bike after going at 20 mph. The entertainment mogul received help from passersby before responders arrived at the scene.

"He was pedaling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch," a source told the news outlet. "He slipped and went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road."

Cowell was also visibly soaked with blood before he was rushed to a medical facility after suffering a broken arm and concussion.

He faced a similar incident nearly two years ago while testing his bike in the courtyard of his Malibu home. Page Six confirmed at that time that he underwent a six-hour operation in order to fix the fractures in his spine.

Despite his recent health scares, Cowell still has good news to celebrate as he got engaged to his longtime love Lauren Silverman. He proposed to her during a family vacation in Barbados during Christmas Eve.

"They are both super happy. They've been together a long time now and adore each other so it's not a huge surprise to their close friends," a source said.
